Questions about Hispania:

- Name three characteristics of cities in Hispania.
Cities in Hispania had straight roads, solid buildings made up with cement and concrete and were fortified.
- What typical places did a Roman city have?
A forum, amphitheatre, baths, temple, circus and theatres.
- What could you enjoy in an amphitheatre, in a circus or in a theatre?
In an amphitheatre you could enjoy gladiator fights. In a circus, you could enjoy races. And in a theatre you could enjoy plays: tragedies or comedies.
- How was society divided int the Roman Empire? What were the differences between this groups?
Society was divided in two groups: slaves and free people. Slaves were not free, they had an owner and worked for him. They did not have their own things and had no rigts. On the contrary, free people had rights, were free and could take part in the goverment.
- Who were the plebeians and the patricians?
The plebeians and patricians are the two groups in which free people were divided. Patricians were rich people and they usually lived in villas. Plebeians were normal people, they usually worked as craftmen, merchans or farmers.
- What was the main economic activity in Hispania? What did Romans build to make it easier?
The main economic activity in Hispania was trading. Romans built roads to connect cities in order to make trading easier.
